Fiji and South Korea have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to deepen defence cooperation between the two countries through joint military capacity building across a wide-range of areas relating to defence and national security. 
The Fijian Government has become the latest government to join a UN alliance of governments and organisations committed to accelerating the transition from cash to digital payments in order to reduce poverty and drive inclusive growth.

13 January, Paris: Fiji’s Minister for Agriculture, Rural and Maritime Development and National Disaster Management Hon. Inia Seruiratu attended a High Level Climate Change Champions Briefing and Planning Meeting in preparation for this year’s 23rd session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 23) to the UN Convention on Climate Change.

The Tropical Disturbance (TD04F) has shown signs of intensification over the last 24 hours and has been slow moving. TD04F was located near 14.5 South latitude and 175.3 East longitude or about 190km Southwest of Rotuma and about 430km North-northwest of Nadi at 1pm today.
