Fire destroys two-bedroom house in Nasinu

The National Fire Authority (NFA) attended to a fire on the night of January 20th at Callun street in Narere, Nasinu, which completely destroyed a two-bedroom house leaving 11 people homeless.
 
NFA Valelevu received the fire emergency call at about 9:01pm and immediately responded. The fire crew arrived at 9:06pm and found the house engulfed in flames.
 
The concrete house, which was owned by Mr Eremasi Sume, was totally destroyed along with household possessions.

At the time of the fire the family was at home in their prayer room, which was an attachment to the house. No injuries were reported.
 
NFA is working with the Police to ascertain the cause of the fire.
