DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION - SENIOR INFORMATION ASSISTANT (AUDIO VISUAL ARCHIVES/TECHNICAL)

DUTIES
The position will achieve its purpose through the following key duties:
• Managing of Audio visual productions library and Audio Visual Equipment;
• Assembling, preparing and setting up equipment prior to filming, which may include tripods, monitors, lighting, cables and leads and headphones;
• Ensuring Government events are captured, stored and catalogued properly for future reference;
• Assisting in preparation of Audio Visual Equipment procurement proposals;
• Responsible for all Autocue Events for Prime Minister and President;
• Providing technical support in multi – camera operations for indoor and outdoor broadcast;
• Identifying, cataloguing and storage of raw footage for archival materials;
• Maintaining appropriate record of audio visual equipment;
• Engaging in dubbing transfer of edited programs, documentaries and archival footages.


QUALIFICATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The applicant should possess:
• A relevant Certificate in Journalism/Information system or completed Fiji Form Seven examination with1-2 years’ experience in television production
• The applicant must be familiar with the tools used in audio visual production, how to operate cameras, editing equipment and mics etc;
• Interest in news and current affairs;
• Excellent knowledge of social media as this job will require uploads on our various social media platforms and development of online content;
• A good public relations and communication skill and ability to work under pressure;
• Should be creative, energetic and understands the basics of audio visual production.

Compensation: Salary Band C: [$12,081.69 to $15,489.35]
