GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF FIJI : IT CONSULTANT (BUSINESS ANALYST) | e-government AND DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

Key Responsibilities
1. Facilitate business process re-engineering and change management workshops as directed
2. Assist business process re-engineering manager and change manager to deliver the scope of the programme within the set programme schedule, including mapping, reviewing and analysing changes required in business processes and documenting business rules for automation of processes
3. Ensure timely, effective and accurate communication with other Government ministries and stakeholders to achieve smooth transition
4. Ensure that projects under the Programme are completed with high quality and to the Fijian Government’s satisfaction
5. Assist to provide regular updates on the progress of the programme to the Digital Management Committee
6. Assist team members to resolve conflicts and interface problems within the programme and ensure the successful delivery of the programme
7. Interact with relevant stakeholders in internal communications.

Knowledge and Experience
1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or Business Management or related qualifications
2. At least 2 to 5 years working experience with at least 1 to 2 years’ experience in business management and business analysis work
3. Experience in managing Business Process Re-engineering projects, previous experience in process re-engineering projects is preferred
4. Demonstrated ability to develop and promote a team culture by sharing knowledge, encouraging active participation and driving personal excellence.

Skills and Abilities
1. Demonstrated written and oral communications skills
2. Strong problem solving and organisation skills
3. Demonstrated ability and a proven record of working with customers and vendors at senior and executive management level
4. Demonstrated ability to identify changes needed to business processes to achieve efficiencies, with a particular focus on the use of technology where appropriate
5. Ability to identify functional requirements and business rules for documented processes
6. Intermediate level of competency in MS Office suite products
7. Service oriented approach, with a commitment to supporting the operational and corporate environment of the organisation.

Key Performance Indicators
1. Stakeholder satisfaction: supervisor and end users
2. Solutions acceptance: adoption and usage level.

Personal Character
Applicants for employment must be of good character, with a background that demonstrates their commitment to the civil service values contained in the Fijian Constitution. Applicants must also be Fijian Citizens, under age 55, in sound health, with a clear police record. The selected applicant will be required to provide a medical certificate and police clearance prior to taking up the duty.
