The Ministry of Civil Service invites suitably qualified and eligible candidates to apply for the vacancies detailed below:

MCS 12/2017 – ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT - RECRUITMENT

POSITION PURPOSE:
The position provides administrative support to the Division - administers and maintains the Division’s record keeping system and provides the necessary assistance with a high level of integrity, strong organisational skills and professionalism.  

KEY DUTIES


The position will achieve its purpose through the following key duties:

1. Manage the Ministry’s internet accounts for recruitment and queries;
2. Acknowledge all applications for employment and provide record keeping services to the division;
3. Maintain a recruitment database;
4. Liaise closely with senior staff of the division with regards to recruitment related correspondence;
5. Provide logistics assistance to the division including coordinating interviews;
6. Contribute to corporate and administrative requirements of the Ministry of Civil Service as and when required.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

The following knowledge, experience, skills and abilities are required to successfully undertake this role:

Knowledge and Experience

1. Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc;
2. Experience in organising the administration requirements for a team;
3. Sound knowledge of filing systems and information management.

Skills and Abilities

1. Demonstrated attention to detail and high level organisation skills;
2. Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload;
3. Demonstrated ability to effectively work within a team;
4. Service oriented approach, with a commitment to supporting the operational / corporate environment of the organisation.

SELECTION CRITERIA

1) Organisational skills;
2) Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office Suite;
3) Demonstrated ability to plan and meet deadlines;
4) Good oral and written communication skills;
5) Service orientation.

Compensation: SALARY RANGE: $12,081.69 - $18,897.01

Applicants for this role must be under the age of 55, in sound health and with a clear police record. The successful applicant will be required to provide a medical certificate and police clearance as a condition of employment.
