Rewa River still rising

The Rewa River is still rising and people in the area are warned to take precautionary measures.

The National Disaster Management Centre has reported that the flooding precautionary is for now and the next three hours until further notice.

Members of the public are also being warned that a landslide has occurred at Baulevu in Naduruloulou outside Nausori Town.

DISMAC reports that road users are warned to keep away from the affected area.

Meanwhile, the road from Sawani to Serea has been closed from 6pm this evening.

DISMAC reports that half of the road has been closed at the Savu junction.
