Caucau opens new classroom

The Minister for Women, Social Welfare and Poverty Alleviation Adi Asenaca Caucau today opened a new classroom at the Sigatoka District School.
The classroom was part of a community project by the Sigatoka branch of the Sathya Sai Organisation.
The Minister said that it was good to see members of the community, work towards building a better Fiji.
"It is both encouraging and heartening to note and to witness that various sections of our community can come together to work for the betterment of the children of Fiji."
She said that the Sai Organization and herself shared the same deals.
These being to work to develop our children who are indeed special and important.
"The Sai Organisation was committed to help children of Fiji progress not only academically but also all round development of the child in an atmosphere of love and harmony," she said.
Ms Caucau commended the Organization for not only speaking about the importance of education but actually doing something about it.
She said that the Sai Organization had initially started by holding regular Education in Human values programmes, then the members of the Sigatoka Center decided to do something about improving the infrastructure at the school.
"Projects like these continue to convince me that there is a lot of goodwill in all our communities."
The Minister also presented two cheques of $1,008 each to the Sigatoka Sai Center for the development of children in the Sigatoka district and to the Chairman of Sathya Sai Organization for its new kindergarten school near Matawalu village past Lautoka.
The cheques were from two anonymous donors from Sigatoka and Sydney Australia.
