PM Bainimarama meets Fiji business community in Tonga

The Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama last night met the Fiji Business community in Tonga.

He had to make time out from his very tight schedule to accommodate at least two appointments following the conclusion of the Pacific African Caribbean Pacific (PACP) leaders meeting.

First was the Forum cocktail held at the Janfull International Dateline Hotel and secondly was to attend an invitation by the Fiji Business community in Tonga.

The dinner held at Mohammed Razak's place was attended also by Interim Cabinet Ministers Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum and Taito Waradi.

About close to 50 guests arrived to partake in the dinner.

PM Bainimarama reiterated his call for patience and understanding during the tough times that Fiji was experiencing.

He told the Fiji Business community in Tonga that Fiji's door was open and would be open all the time.

He said the Interim Government understood that it would take time to get over and solve the problems and that they were prepared to give a good run to ensure that Fiji's problems as a nations are properly addressed and solved.

The Fiji business community in Tonga was happy to host the PM and his group and replied that they would support Fiji in anyway it could in the long road back to parliamentary democracy.

The Prime Minister also met with some of his former Ratu Kadavulevu School (RKS) mates in Tonga.

Mr Bainimarama attended RKS in his early secondary school days before enrolling at Marist Brothers High school.

He is expected to address the Forum and present the Fiji situation today (Tuesday).
