The co-chair for the National Council for Building a Better Fiji, Archbishop Petero Mataca has denied claims that the People’s Charter for Change and Progress has already been written.

In addressing the first inaugural meeting of the National Council for Building a Better Fiji in Lami yesterday, Archbishop Mataca said that the the National Council was not here to rubber stamp a ready made document.

“All that has been put in place are the guidelines and the structures for a vision to take place” Mataca said.

The Archbishop reiterated that the People’s Charter was not a ready made document as this was far from the truth.

Furthermore, Mataca added that the proposed People’s Charter is a work in process.
