The originating summons application filed by the former members of the Great Council of Chiefs (Applicants) was called by Justice Davendra Pathik in Court today (15.05.08).

The Court raised issues on the form of originating summons and in response the solicitors for the Applicants sought time to amend the originating summons.

The State informed the Court of its intention to file certain interlocutory applications together with necessary supporting affidavits.

After hearing all parties the Court has given the Applicants 7 days to amend the originating summons. The State has been given 14 days to file and serve any interlocutory applications together with affidavits in response.

The matter has been adjourned for mention on 30 June 2008.
