Traditional landowners welcome PM

Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama was accorded a traditional ceremony of welcome by landowning units of Natadola as he began his tour of the west yesterday.

His official visit to the Western Division is really to inspect various development and tourism investment sites like the Natadola Bay resort.

The Prime Minister is accompanied by the Minister for Justice Mr Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum and Minister for Lands, Mr Netani Sukanaivalu and senior officials who were traditionally welcomed by the villagers of Veisabasaba and Sanasana,the traditional landowning units of Natadola.

Commodore Bainimarama was informed upon arrival that contractors and a total of 300 workers were working around the clock to ensure both the resort and golf course meet their estimated deadlines.

The visit is a follow up to a submission that was presented to Cabinet from the board of directors of the Natadola Project
