More visitors will arrive in the country in 2008.

The message was relayed by the Principal Tourism Officer, Mrs Atelaite Rokosuka at a conference at Holiday Inn yesterday.

“The number of tourist will increase come 2008 and will continue in the future,”said Mrs Rokosuka.

Fiji has been known as a couple market, however family market is also increasing.

In addition there were also some areas that need to be looked at. This includes the diversifying of products, need to concentrate on the development of attractions.

The need to know our source market and the need to develop tourism product was also highlighted.

It was also noted at the conference that visitor nights is a good measure of tourist coming to Fiji than visitor arrival because it is the actual night a tourist spend.
