Another move is to achieve higher economic growth while ensuring sustainability. Also high on the agenda is making more land available for productive and social purposes as well as developing an integrated development structure at the provincial level. The pillar aims at reducing poverty to a negligible level by 2015 allowing Fiji knowledge-based societies. Technical and Support Secretariat head John Samy said they were trying to send copies of the draft charter overseas. The secretariat wants every household in Fiji to have a copy of the document. He said it would be good for international communities to support a process similar to a referendum as they were pushed for time and resources. (FT)
