The secondary schools rugby semi-finals and the finals are the main sporting activities at the tail end of this term. Teachers must bear in mind that preparation time for the semi finals and finals must not interfere with the teaching and learning within the classrooms. It would be wise to be proactive and put measures in place so as not to compromise the education of students. The Ministry wishes to advise school team officials to ensure that rugby players, representing the school have trained well and are fit to enter the competition. It is the responsibility of team officials and all teachers to see that the rules of the games are observed and students’ safety and welfare are not compromised in any way. (DOI)
