Niue's Premier and incoming Pacific Islands Forum chair Toke Talagi wants Fiji's interim Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama to attend the 39th Leaders forum in his country. Mr Talagi said he had not at this stage received any reservations on attendance despite some speculation that the Fiji delegation may withdraw from the PIF. (FT)
The interim government has written to the Methodist Church requesting an audience in relation to the People's Charter process. National Council for Building a Better Fiji Technical and Support Secretariat head John Samy said acting interim Prime Minister Ratu Epeli Ganilau wrote the letter. (FT)
The crew from Italys national television says they are greatly impressed with Fijis tourism infrastructure and facilities and the high service standards. The two member crew from Italian TV-RAI TRE, comprising of editorial staff Franco Tamiazzo and Stefania Tommasi are in Fiji filing a travel documentary titled Alle Falde del Kilimangagiaro. (FT)
