Fiji faces expulsion from the Pacific Islands Forum after the withdrawal of interim Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama from the meeting in Niue. Niue Premier Toke Talagi said the absence of Commodore Bainimarama from the forum was unacceptable and Pacific leaders would discuss Fiji's future with the organisation. (FT)

Close to $0.5million has been raised at the annual Methodist Church choir competition. An update from the church at midday yesterday revealed that $492,310 was raised on the first six days of competition at Furnival Park in Toorak, Suva. (FT)

The Methodist Church will continue to work with the vanua and health authorities to raise awareness on HIV/AIDS. Church assistant general secretary Reverend Tuikilakila Waqairatu said health and social issues discussed at the conference would depend on the agenda. (FT)
