The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) is investigating claims being made against several logging companies who are harvesting sandalwood forests in the country. Several landowners are now claiming that some companies are now logging sandalwood forests where they have not been licensed to do so. (fijilive.com)

The Health Ministry has set up a sub-committee to investigate allegations of dental malpractice such as those highlighted this week by The Fiji Times. The ministry's acting permanent secretary, Dr Timaima Tuiketei, said the sub-committee would table a report with the Fiji Dental Council next week. (FT)
