Ratu Isoa Gavidi has been appointed the new Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Public Service Commission chairman Rishi Ram confirms, the appointment was made by the Constitutional Offices Commission. The current Permanent Secretary Ross Ligairi has been appointed the new Roving Ambassador for the South Pacific replacing Ratu Finau Mara. (fijitv.com)

Digicel Fiji says, they have all necessary approvals to use the Fiji Flag on their SIM cards. Digicel is adamant, it has the best intentions at heart, in using the Fiji Flag in its SIM cards. (fijitv.com)

The Interim Attorney General confirmed yesterday afternoon, that there are no legislations to stop Digicel from using the Fiji Flag in its sim-cards. Aiyaz Sayed-Kaiyum told One National News, that he was wrongly informed of the use of the Coat of Arms on the sim cards, which resulted in his comments on One National News on Monday night. Fiji’s ailing sugar industry has prompted the Agriculture Ministry to look for markets where Fiji can sell refined white sugar. Interim Primary Industries Minister Joketani Cokanasiga confirmed that he would hold discussions with key stakeholders on how the country can take advantage of the white sugar market.
