All sub-divisional hospitals must provide relieving officers for staff who go on annual leave.

This message was relayed by the General Manager Community Health Services Central/Eastern, Dr Salanieta Saketa as the community from Waidina lodged a complaint to the Health Ministry that there was no nurse servicing the Nabukaluka Health Centre.

Dr Saketa who has asked the Naqali Health Centre to provide a relieving nurse to conduct clinics to the people of Waidina once a week.

In highlighting the need for sub-divisional hospitals to provide relieving officers when a staff proceeds on annual leave, Dr Saketa said she has asked the Sub-divisional Health Sister Naitasiri who is based at Vunidawa to provide a fulltime nurse during the district nurse's leave.

Dr Saketa says she will continually follow up on whether a nurse has been deployed full time to the Nabukaluka nursing station in the coming days.
