In his address to members who were present at the historic meeting, His Excellency, the President highlighted that last year Government had been consistent and had taken concerted efforts to reaching out to the international community to better understand Fiji’s situation.

“Since mid-May last year, Fiji has been consistent and concerted in its efforts,to outreach the international community, and in particular our development partners, seeking better understanding of Fiji’s particular situation, we also invited them to extend financial and technical assistance for the Peoples Charter,”His Excellency Ratu Iloilo said.
