Ministry to launch client care campaign
Jul 2, 2008, 12:03
The Ministry of Primary Industries will officially launch its Care for Client Campaign on Friday, 4th July, 2008 at the Fiji College of Agriculture in Koronivia, Nausori.
Acting Permanent Secretary for Agriculture, Dr Richard Beyer believes ministry clients need to be better served.
“The Ministry of Primary Industries will be the first Ministry to initiate a campaign of addressing the needs of the clients,” Dr Beyer said.
“In our case it will be farmers, user groups and all members of the community that contribute to the well-being of Fiji and its people,” he added.
This is believed to herald a new era in customer service provided by the Ministry.
“The key to customer satisfaction, loyalty and retention is to consistently deliver a level of customer service that exceeds and even anticipates the customer’s expectation for value.”
In view of an efficient and effective customer or client service delivery, the ministry has introduced the Client Care Campaign.
This service is to operate through a help-desk provided by the ministry to assist customers requiring information on agricultural related issues.
“The aim is to respond within three working days to customer queries or request for services,” Dr Beyer said.
“It will provide a direct link between Ministry customers and decision makers with the aim to improve turnaround time for service delivery and customer satisfaction.”
The Customer Help Desk is located at the Ministry’s Information and Communication Section at Robinson Complex, Raiwaqa.
The Help Desk consists of various channels of communication, namely direct phone calls, fax, email website and the post mail.
Queries can be forwarded to officers on phone number 3383853 and emailed to address: agri-help@govnet.gov.fj or log onto Ministry website on www.agriculture.org.fj for more information.
