The idiom “straight from the horse’s mouth” is one that comes from the British horse racing circles which pointed out that the ideal source for racing tips would be the horse rather than the spectators.
The same can be said for developments in Fiji such as the Namosi Joint Venture (NJV) operations in Namosi and the Ministry of Lands and Mineral Resources has urged the public not to speculate and get the correct information from the proverbial horse, which in this case is the Ministry.
