Cabinet has approved a Memorandum of Understanding between the Fijian Department of National Trade Measurement & Standards (DNTMS) and the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
Cabinet based its decision on a submission by the Attorney-General and Minister for Industry and Trade, Mr Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.
The MOU promotes cooperation in the areas of standardization and standards development, conformity assessment, training and technical assistance.
The MOU shall be in force for three years from the date of signing by the Parties.
