The Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources, Hon. Filimoni Vosarogo, officially appointed new members to the Valuers Registration Board (VRB) for a two-year term, effective from today (1.02.26).
Established under Section 3 of the Valuers Registration Act 1986, the VRB is responsible for the registration and regulation of valuers in Fiji, ensuring valuation services are delivered lawfully, fairly and to acceptable professional standards for the benefit of the public and the national economy.
The appointed members are:
• Ms Farzana Khan – Chairperson
• Mr Paula Raqeukai – Member
• Mr Joseva Dulakiverata – Member
• Mr Malvin Anand – Member
• Mrs Meredani Tuitubou – Registrar & Secretary
The appointees bring extensive experience from both the public and private sectors, strengthening the Board’s capacity to effectively regulate the valuation profession. The appointments ensure balanced representation, with three members from the public sector and two from the private sector, enhancing oversight, professional standards and contributions to national development.
Key functions of the Valuers Registration Board include:
•Registering qualified and competent valuers
•Maintaining an up-to-date register of legally recognised valuers
•Promoting ethical conduct and professionalism within the valuation profession
