A traditional welcome ceremony was accorded to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, Hon. Viliame Gavoka this morning (10.01.23) at the Tourism Fiji office in Nadi.
During the visit, Minister Gavoka highlighted that the tourism industry plays a vital role for the economy.
“It is no secret that the country will be looking to tourism in 2023.”
“For Fiji the saviour is tourism and it is the way forward in 2023.”
He also met with the board members to discuss ways in which to further uplift the standards of the Tourism industry.
These included brand refreshing, reopening of China and Japan, organisational structure and key campaigns methods.
Minister Gavoka will be in the Western division this week meeting key stakeholders in the tourism and the civil aviation sector.
