His Excellency the President Ratu Wiliame Maivalili Katonivere, today received the Nakorosule women’s group from Naitasiri and expressed delight to have their presence at State House.
“I am glad that you visited today and personally I feel that such trips for our women are a wonderful idea as new things are seen and can motivate you to embark on ventures that can financially support you,” said His Excellency.
“Many times, our womenfolk in our villages and rural areas only come to town to market produce but seldom visit other places that can help with their development.”
His Excellency encouraged the women to take back a lot of positive things and make this year the year of change.
“We have a new Government and together we have embarked on a new journey and we must be resilient and adapt to the changes taking place not only in our country but in our homes as well.”
“I urge you to be mindful of what your children are experiencing in this tech-savvy world.”
“The ever-changing world brings about new things that our children grasp and as mothers, I urge you to keep an eye out and raise your children to be responsible in your community and encourage them to pursue education to the best of their ability.”
“They are our future and we must ensure that they are brought up in a conducive environment full of love and care which will be instilled in them and passed on to their children when they have families of their own.”
In his parting words, His Excellency challenged the Nakorosule women to visit Macuata as part of their yearly excursion.
