After three years of persistence, patience, and faith, UCB Life FM launched on 87.8 FM to bring hope, positive values, and a platform for young Fijians to be heard.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Industries, Commerce and Business Development, Hon. Manoa Kamikamica, launched the station at Studio 6 this week, and thanked the United Christian Broadcasters Fiji team, churches, partners, and supporters for backing the vision from the start.
“This launch has been three years in the making. I know how much perseverance, patience and faith it has taken to reach this point,” Hon. Kamikamica said.
He said his office supported the licensing process, but the real credit belongs to those who made the project happen.
He emphasised that the UCB Fiji team, along with the churches, partners, and supporters who believed Fiji needed this station, deserve the most credit for this achievement.
UCB Fiji received its broadcasting licence in January 2026 and will air on 87.8 FM in Suva, Nadi, and Lautoka.
He said the launch adds to a media environment that reflects Fiji’s values, diversity, and the needs of its people.
DPM Kamikamica further said he hoped the station would remain “a genuine source of hope, encouragement and positive influence for the young people of Fiji for many years to come”.
