Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources Hon. Filimoni Vosarogo is in the Western division on a familiarisation tour.
Visiting the Vatukoula Gold Mine today, Minister Vosarogo highlighted that it is important for him to have a full understanding of what he needs to do in order to meet the expectations of every Fijian.
The Minister was briefed by officials at the Gold Mine on its roles and functions including the company’s 10-year plan. He acknowledged the company and its staff for their hardwork.
Apart from this visit, Minister Vosarogo also visited the various Lands and Mineral Resources offices in the Western division where he encouraged all officers to do their best in providing the various services required of them.
Minister Vosarogo also stressed that the assignment now is making sure that Fijians feel that the people that they have chosen to be in Government does the work that needs to be done.
The Minister ended his tour today after touring various sites which includes the Yaqara Fiji Water plant, 480 Holdings and the Lands Department in Rakiraki.
