The Fiji Government is committed to nurturing young men and women in becoming productive and vibrant future leaders and advocates.
This was highlighted by the Minister for Youth and Sports Hon. Jese Saukuru while visiting the Bocalevu Youth Club during his official visit to the North last Thursday (05.01.23).
The youth club, which consists of 10 members, have planted 1500 pineapples and 1500 cassava at their farm in Bocalevu, Labasa.
The Minister held substantive discussions with the youth group, hearing their views and concerns surrounding youth development in Fiji.
“It is indeed pleasing to meet with respective youth clubs and get firsthand information on the concerns and issues they might be facing,” he said.
“The visit is to encourage and motivate youth club members to become productive and be knowledgeable on the types of Government services available to them particularly through the Ministry of Youth and Sports.”
