Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum received a courtesy call from the Ambassador of France to Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Tonga, and Tuvalu, His Excellency, François-Xavier Léger yesterday (28/03/22).
The two discussed opportunities to strengthen economic diplomacy and promote business partnerships between Fiji, France, and French territories in the Pacific.
His Excellency also highlighted the interest of French companies to build climate-resilient infrastructure in Fiji and further renewable energy solutions such as hydrogen and solar energy to support Fiji’s climate change goals.
The A-G highlighted policies and projects that are underway to meet the challenges of climate change both from a mitigation and adaptation perspective.
