Education is an essential means of empowering women with the knowledge, skills and self-confidence necessary to fully participate in the development process. Sustainable development is only possible when women and men enjoy equal opportunities to reach their potential.

For Fijians, the life and death of Jesus carry lessons that carry profound meaning for each of us. Jesus’s life was a life dedicated to the service of all people, from all walks of life. His love touched the hearts of women, men, children, youths and elders from all different faiths, different socio-economic backgrounds, and different cultures.

To each and every one of our 28 players and 6 officials, I would like to, on behalf of our Rugby passionate and loving Nation, commend and congratulate you on being selected into our National Under 20 Team this year – well done!

The Fijian Government strongly believes that a robust and resilient economy is built through collaboration between all players in the economy. I wish to reiterate that the private sector is the engine for economic growth, whilst the Fijian Government continues to provide an enabling and conducive environment, for businesses to flourish.

As officers of the law, you are the shield that guards our people from those grave dangers to their safety and security. You can’t fulfil that duty while sitting behind a desk or behind the wheel of a lorry. You need to be in the communities you are tasked to protect.
