Attorney-General Siromi Turaga met with the United Nations (UN) resident coordinator and UNDP resident representative for Fiji, His Excellency, Sanaka Samarasinha today.
The A-G reaffirmed the Fiji Government’s commitment to work closely with the various UN agencies to elevate engagement.
In their meeting, the two discussed the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework 2023-2027, which aligns with Fiji's national development priorities and will lead to the UN's better coordination and stronger partnership with the Government of Fiji.
They also discussed ongoing progress and support to the judiciary, human rights and law enforcement.
