Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum met with the Australian Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles at the Grand Pacific hotel this morning (21/10/22).
During the meeting, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further develop the Vuvale partnership.
The A-G thanked Australia for their tremendous support over the years and highlighted the Fijian Government’s commitment to continue strengthening relations between the two countries.
Discussions also centred around potential opportunities of collaboration in advanced economic integration, BPO, education, FNU, medicine, technical training, climate resilience, ITC and infrastructure.
The meeting also included Permanent Secretary for Economy, Mr Shiri Gounder and Acting Permanent Secretary for Communications, Ms Tupoutua’h Baravilala.
