BRITISH ENVOY PAYS FAREWELL CALL TO PM BAINIMARAMA

Prime Minister, Honourable Voreqe Bainimarama received a farewell courtesy call from the  outgoing British High Commissioner to Fiji, Melanie Hopkins at the Office of the Prime Minister this morning. 
 
PM Bainimarama conveyed the Fijian Government’s appreciation to Ms Melanie Hopkins for the support provided towards the programs collectively undertaken by the British High Commission and the development agencies in Fiji.
 
PM Bainimarama also acknowledged the British Government’s remarkable contribution towards the strengthened bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
 
Ms Hopkins thanked PM Bainimarama and the Fijian Government for its tremendous support and enhanced collaboration with the British Government in leading historic achievements, one of them being the successful 2018 Royal visit by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
 
Ms Hopkins reaffirmed the British Government’s commitment to further advancing the levels of cooperation between the two nations in their aspirations to achieving common goals on the SDG’s.
