Further to an excellent budget announcement by the Attorney-General and Minister for Economy, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, we wish to advise all our Transport stakeholders that the Ministry of Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport (MCTTT) has received overwhelming positive responses to assistance provided to the Land and Maritime Transport Sectors.
We wish to advise our stakeholders in the Bus, Taxi, Minibus industries that the current laws still apply. The announcements relating to base and stands, waiver of arrears, waiver of interest charged on Fines and other Transport related initiatives has not commenced yet. In due course, the commencement dates will be published once the laws and regulations are completed.
