Assistant Minister for Youth and Sports Honourable Iliesa Delana has praised youths of Namoli during his visit to the village this week.

Upon arrival, the Assistant Minister was welcomed by students of Sacred Heart Primary School – a recently established school for students of Namoli, Nasararua, Nubutautau and Korolevu villages.

The school caters for classes 1 to 3 and has only two classrooms while a new classroom is currently being constructed as an extension to the village hall by the youths of the Namoli village.

“The Namoli village youth club is registered but non-active and this is the information that I gathered from our Lautoka office,” Delana told the youths.

“I urge you all to maintain communication with the ministry and submit timely and regular reports.”

“The Minister for Youth and Sports Hon. Laisenia Tuitubou and the Ministry’s management team are ready to assist youth clubs and groups that are active and have proven to grow and contribute positively to nation building.”

School teachers Ms Rosi Limaiwale and Mrs Naomi Togotogo were grateful for the Minister’s visit and most importantly the education assistance by Government.

“We are a newly established school and don’t have proper school buildings and compound but we also enjoy the free education assistance provided by Government,” Mrs Tagotago said.

Mrs Tagotago said that the Namoli village youths are currently constructing a new classroom that will house Year 4 in 2016.

The school currently has 30 students and will increase next year as neighbouring villages are expected to send their students there as the location is much closer and safer for children.
