The National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) through its press conference this afternoon informed that the focus is currently on the Northern Division. The Northern Division has 90 evacuation centres open with a total of 5,028 people taking shelter. This figure is expected to rise further later on.
The Northern Division has been approved with an additional funds from Government from intial $10,000 to $30,000.
The Eastern Division has three evacuation centres opened with a total of 147 people in these centres. Central Division at the moment has six evacuation centres with 62 people. Western Division has two evacuation centres in the Ra province with 80 people taking shelter.
All Domestic airports are now closed with no flying orders except for Nausori airport -today Pacific Sun was still flying but has now stopped.
