DON'T POLITICISE EDUCATION SECTOR: HON. REDDY

Minister for Education Hon. Dr Mahendra Reddy today reminded staff at the Technical College of Fiji's Nadi Campus not to let politics influence the education of its 300 plus students.

Minister Reddy made the comments while addressing the staff at the Dr Shaukat Ali Campus.

"Let us not compromise the education of our children and their future," he said.

"Let politicians deal with politics and leave those comments and influences out of the institute."

The Education Minister also urged teachers to always perform their best when dealing with the students as they were Fiji's future.

"Give them the best advice and instill skills and knowledge that will benefit them in life and in their future," Hon. Dr Reddy said.

Minister Reddy also highlighted the need for strengthening and improving learning styles which he says would better suit the working environment.

The Minister’s visit to the college today was to see the progress made by the school since its opening last year.
