EDUCATION TO ENGAGE VOLUNTEER TEACHERS

25/04/2012

The Ministry of Education is working in consultation with the National Employment Center (NEC), the Fiji National University and the Public Service Commission, in engaging volunteer teachers in schools.

For the initial volunteer engagement for 2012, the Ministry of Education had been allocated a quota of 30 volunteers.

The Minister for Education, Mr Filipe Bole has called on potential candidates to register with the NEC if they wish to teach in schools.

“For those who have graduated from FNU and USP and wish to join the teaching profession, you will have to register with NEC first”, Minister Bole said.

An advertisement for the volunteer scheme for Education will be put out in the media once everything is finalised.
