Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama attended the fundraising dinner for the Fiji National Women’s Cricket team - Viti Ruve - at the Vineyard Palace Restaurant tonight.

In his address and well wishes to the team that departs our shores for Vanuatu in October, the head of Government thanked the turnout of supporters who attended the fundraising dinner.

“I am excited to be here this evening with my family to help support our women’s cricket team. All women’s teams should be supported by families in Fiji. I’m very happy with the plans that Cricket Fiji has, and I am glad that we are here to show our support for the women’s cricket team,” PM Bainimarama said.

PM Bainimarama also thanked the team officials and organisers of the event for hosting an occasion that allowed family, friends and acquaintances to turn out in numbers and lend their financial support to the national team.
