The numbers of those living in evacuation centres in both the central and western division continue to decrease as Fijians return to their homes to begin rebuilding their lives.
The DISMAC office has confirmed that a total of 60 evacuation centres now remain in the central and western division.
In the central division, only 3 centres remain as opposed to the 57centres still activated in the western division.
The western division was hard hit by the recent floods and saw not only homes but business houses and schools sustaining serious damages.
Meanwhile the education ministry has re-emphasised that schools in the western division will open tomorrow.
DISMAC officials will be relocating evacuees living in schools to other centres in the division to ensure that classes are not disrupted.
