Ezy Distributors today donated two tonnes of frozen dalo (taro) and 1 tonne of cassava to the National Disaster Management Office as part of relief efforts to those affected in the recent flooding in the Western Division.
Ministry of Provincial Development deputy secretary Mr Peni Ratumaitavuki in acknowledging the donation from the local frozen dalo supplier, said that Government was appreciative of the interest and concern shown by business houses for those affected families in the Western Division.
“I would also like to publicly acknowledge as demonstrated by Ezy Distributors this morning, the partnership that the company has with Government particularly during this difficult times,” Ratumaitavuki said.
Mr Ratumaitavuki also commended other business houses for supporting government’s rehabilitation efforts.
The total value of dalo and cassava received today from Ezy Distributors amounts to $8,000.
