Education Minister begins school visit in Central Division

Twenty-eight schools will be visited by the Minister for Education Mr Filipe Bole this school term as part of his advisory role to highlight Government’s objectives in educational development and to assist schools in improving their academic performance.

       
          The Minister began with Suva Grammar School and Laucala Bay Secondary School yesterday.

        In these school visits, the Minister will have a chance to meet with the staff and students and respond to education related queries teachers may have such as policies,
        grants, transport, and the textbook assistance scheme, among other things.
 
       The gist of the whole exercise is to change teachers and students’ perception towards education. After all the Ministry’s vision is “Education for Change, Peace and
       Progress.
