In its bid to improve the educational services and effectively serve its stakeholders in the country, the Ministry of Education has today officially launched the revamped website for the Ministry.

The Minister for Education, National Heritage, Culture and Arts, Youth and Sports, Local Government, Urban Development and Housing Mr Filipe Bole while officially launching the website at Marela House today said the website upgrade has been due for some time and now since it is back on again it will greatly assist the Ministry to update and disseminate educational information.

“It gives me great pleasure to welcome you all here today for the launch of the newly upgraded website of the Ministry of Education: www.education.gov.fj.”

“I have been informed that this website was in dire need of upgrading over a long period of time, and that it was lying idle for some time,” Mr Bole said.

He said in this age of information technology, the Ministry really cannot afford to be idle, or else it will be left behind, while the rest of the world moves on.

“Ladies and gentlemen, the Ministry of Education, being the largest Ministry in Government, has a huge responsibility to effectively and efficiently inform its stakeholders of all its undertakings- its policies, its plans, and its initiatives,” Mr Bole said.

The Education Minister also acknowledged the generosity and the commitment of ITC, in designing and providing this website free of charge.

“I would also like to thank the senior staff of the Ministry for providing the content and for their contribution to the improvement of this website,” he said.
