The Fiji Employers Federation aims to make its meetings an annual event.
This was a plea by the FEF chief executive officer, Nesbitt Hazelman during the ANZ sponsored executive meeting in Nadi this morning.
The 2010 meeting has been called after eight years.
“We need to have the meeting annually because it brings us together and helps us work out solutions for problems,” Mr Hazelman said.
“This means that we would have a more collaborated approach for employers.”
He said it was important to work together because FEF has numbers increasing every year.
FEF which also marked 50 years of its existence noted that from 12 founding members, numbers have increased to 2,000.
“We are the biggest employers’ body and we employ more than 80,000 workers nationwide,” Mr Hazelman said.
“We are grateful to ANZ for coming on board to sponsor the event.”
The meeting ends tomorrow with an election of new office bearers.
