FIJI CONGRATULATES TUVALU ON 34TH ANNIVERSARY OF NATIONAL DAY

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has congratulated the Prime Minister and the People of Tuvalu, on its 34rd Anniversary of the island nation’s National Day.

In his message, Prime Minister Bainimarama told his Tuvalu counterpart, Hon Willy Telavi, that, “the warm and close relations between the Island Nations of Fiji and Tuvalu could very truly be exemplary for all collegial interactions amongst Pacific Small Islands Developing States as we together seek lasting partnerships in mutual cooperation in the face of evolving challenges ahead. We wish upon you all God’s Blessings and Prosperity.”

The Prime Minister also pointed out how Fiji was the host country of Tuvalu’s first Diplomatic Mission abroad when it was set up in Suva in 1997.

"Fiji government is even more consciously mindful of being Tuvalu’s gateway to the world in international aviation, on condition that joint commitment for developing greater connectivity between the two countries”, PM Bainimarama said.
