FIJI DAY CONGRATULATORY MESSAGES FROM THE PRIME MINISTER AND FOREIGN MINISTER OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Below are the texts of the congratulatory messages sent by the Russian Prime Minister and the Russian Foreign Minister on the 45th anniversary of Fiji’s Independence.

The first message is from the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, H.E Dmitry MEDVEDEV and the second message is from the Minister for Foreign Affairs for the Russian Federation, H.E Sergey LAVROV.







Dear Prime Minister,

I congratulate you on the occasion of the National holiday of the Republic of Fiji-the 45th Anniversary of the Independence.
I am confident that further strengthening of traditionally friendly Russian-Fijians relations, development of mutually beneficial cooperation in trade and economy, science and culture corresponds to the longstanding interests of our countries.
I wish you, dear Prime Minister, well-being and further access in your important activities and welfare and prosperity to the people of Fiji.

Dear Mr Kubuabola,

Please accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of the 45th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Fiji.
For the past decades your country has made significant progress in the social and economic development, strengthened its position on the international arena. We consider it as a basis for the advancement of the Russian-Fijian cooperation in a wide range of areas.

I warmly recall our meeting in Moscow in June 2014. I count upon deepening of the bilateral interaction in addressing topical global and regional issues for the benefit of the peoples of our countries, in the interests of promoting security and sustainable development in the South Pacific region.
