Fiji and New Zealand have today renewed commitment to strengthen bilateral relations and regional collaboration, as the Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade Hon. Sakiasi Ditoka welcomed the newly appointed New Zealand High Commissioner to Fiji, His Excellency Greg Andrews.
Minister Ditoka acknowledged Fiji-NZ’s enduring friendship underscored by the Duavata Partnership with shared priorities in trade and investment, tourism, labour mobility, defence, climate change, health and education. Discussions highlighted prospects to enhance collaboration in these sectors, building on the strong foundations set.
High Commissioner Andrews congratulated Hon. Ditoka on the assumption of his new ministerial role and expressed NZ’s commitment to deepen collaboration aligned to the development priorities of the two nations and the collective goal of regional solidarity.
Minister Ditoka congratulated High Commissioner Andrews and wished him well for his diplomatic tenure. As part of his key engagements this week, Hon. Ditoka also joined High Commissioner Andrew at the NZ High Commission in commemorating the Waitangi Day.
