The Fijian Government through the Ministry of Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations is very grateful to returning employer, Labour Solutions Australia (LAS) for opting to recruit from Fiji for the second time, two weeks after their first recruitment of 10 Fijian workers.

The Permanent Secretary for Employment, Mr Osea Cawaru, conveyed his sincere gratitude to the Operations Manager for LAS, Mr Dave Comrie and Ms Robyn Seymour, the PALM Mobilisation Coordinator for believing in our people and the opportunity to assist Fijians through employment opportunities under the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility Scheme.

The Australian employer is here in Fiji and has interviewed 56 potential workers since Monday (04/07/22). Of these, the employer is targeting the recruitment of 40 workers who are expected to be deployed to Esperance, Australia.

Mr Comrie praised the support and commitment of the National Employment Centre (NEC) Team and was very impressed with the recruitment process in place.

Apart from Fiji, Labour Solutions Australia has also recruited workers from other Pacific Island Countries as well as Timor-Leste.

The employer is looking forward to returning to Fiji for more recruitment in the near future.
