The Hon. Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has congratulated the President of Brazil, Her Excellency Ms Dilma Vana Rousseff, on her recent re-election victory.
“My Government stands together with your Government in friendship and support in our resolve to pursue freedom, security and prosperity for our peoples, ourregions and our world,” he said in his congratulatory note to the South American leader.
“I sincerely wish you every success in the challenging task of leading your nation in these turbulent and trying times in a world plagued with volatility and uncertainty, on a path leading to growth, success and happiness and for this, nations look to Brazil for leadership and hope.”
Prime Minister Bainimarama said that under her leadership, “Fiji and Brazil will use every available opportunity and influence and enjoy strong and deep cooperation”.
He said this would be done in the mutually constructive and beneficial way in the future, not only on a bilateral level, but also as a developing nation in the international arena.
The Fijian Head of Government extended a warm and cordial invitation to Her Excellency to visit Fiji at any time convenient to her and commended her for the smooth conduct of Brazil’s congressional elections.
